JAKARTA (10/10) — Rajawali Foundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Defense Republic of Indonesia, for a collaboration to advance the educational training about defense knowledge.
The MoU was signed by the Director of Rajawali Foundation, Agung Binantoro, and the Head of Education and Training Bureau of Ministry of Defense, Mayjen TNI Soewarno. The signatory ceremony was witnessed by The Minister of Defense, Purnomo Yusgiantoro, and The Chairman of Rajawali Corpora, Peter Sondakh. This event was took place in the Bhineka Tunggal Ika Assembly Hall at Ministry of Defense Office, Jakarta.
“We look forward to see more development on the human resource of the bureaucrat personnel, for the chance and the advantages granted from the collaboration between the two institutions,” said Purnomo Yusgiantoro delivering his expectation during his speech.
The MoU will enable the Ministry of Defense to delegate their chosen personnel to study public policy in Harvard Kennedy School, every year, for some years forward. The executive training program will cover the studies related to the defense and security knowledge. A Similar collaboration had formerly created between Rajawali Foundation and The Ministry of Home Affairs to delegate the selected governors to Harvard.
“There are two colonels from the Ministry of Defense that have passed the qualification, to be departed in November to attend the executive course about Global Security and Disaster Management in Harvard Kennedy School in Cambridge Campus, United States of America,” told Mayjen TNI Soewarno to the press, on a brief press conference after the ceremony.
Rajawali Foundation hopes by enabling more people in Indonesia to have their chance to escalate their knowledge in the area of public policy, it will help to establish a better public policy that cover public interest and achieve social welfare for every people in the country.back
